Golf at Club Green Meadows

The CGM golf course is an 18-hole, championship layout approximately 6500 yards in length. Par is 72 from the men’s white and blue tees and 73 from ladies yellow tees. Although not particularly long, the course features narrow, tree-lined fairways that dog leg left and right, as well as small, tricky greens.

The course winds through the exclusive Meadows Estates neighborhood and is relatively easy to walk. Best known for its natural Poe annua greens, the course provides an excellent challenge for recreational and competitive golfers alike.

Men’s Club

An active Men's Club is available to golf members at Club Green Meadows. It is run by a Board of Directors that are elected by the Men’s Club golf membership. The Board establishes and promotes the tournament schedule, monitors members' handicaps, and helps run the tournaments. As a member of the Men’s Club, you will have a USGA handicap that is valid worldwide and be able to participate in any of the 22 tournaments held each season at CGM. Tournament season is from March 7th to November 7th. The annual dues for the CGM Men’s Club are $80. A portion of this goes to the OGA for your USGA handicap and the rest is used to fund food and drink for some designated tournaments or enhance the prize fund. There is also an optional Hole-In-One pot for $5. Golfers who participate in this fund and make an HIO gets the entire pot!

If you are interested in joining the CGM Men’s Club, you can inquire at the Front Desk or contact the Membership Chair, Art Ashton at artashton2@gmail.com

Jeff grew up in Battle Ground, WA and started golfing at age 14. At age 17 he won the Ping Jr Tour national series. After high school, he played for Lower Columbia CC and WSU.

During his college years, Jeff worked at Club Green Meadows as the Assistant Pro where he helped with all golf operations, tournaments and gave group and individual lessons. During this time, he met his future wife AmyJo who was working at the front desk at CGM. They have been together ever since and have two boys named Drew and Autzen.

Jeff left the golf business after about five years and pursued a career in insurance. He continued playing competitive golf as an amateur. He won the Royal Oaks Invitational, OGA Tournament of Champions, and OGA Team Championship along with eight club championships spread over four different courses.

About two years ago Jeff decided to get back into the golf business. He enrolled in the PGA program and has been giving golf lessons at Vanco Driving Range.

Golf Course Superintendent

Marvin Bain

Marvin@clubgreenmeadows.com

Prior to starting at Club Green Meadows, Marvin had not been on a golf course. He started in Landscape Construction and Irrigation. His father Tim was once a greenskeeper here at the club and Marvin started under Bill Warnick (Our prior Superintendent) While Shadowing Bill he quickly fell in love with the course and keeping it at a high quality. With his problem-solving skills and thirst for knowledge, he quickly learned everything about how our course runs, operates and what it needs to keep it at 110%. He is currently studying Agronomics and is taking classes for the Washington Pesticide applicators certification to make the course better than ever.

In his free time Marvin loves fishing with his kids, riding motorcycles, hiking and anything creative to do with landscaping. For any greens questions please refer to his email above.
