Basketball

THE PROGRAM & FACILITY — Our racquetball facility is one of the largest in the Northwest, with two glass back viewing courts and another 7 hallway racquetball courts. The club has hosted a number of sanctioned tournaments over the years. League play is available during the racquetball season, generally October through April. Individual and group lessons are available on a fee basis. Professional stringing is offered through the club Pro Shop.

Racquetball Lessons Now Available:

Jonathan Burton is now offering individualized racquetball lessons to CGM members. Lessons are for beginners as well as experienced players seeking to improve their existing skills.

“Racquetball is a sport in which players can accelerate to a higher level very quickly with some guidance,” says Jonathan. According to Jonathan, learning the correct way to hit the ball early on can help players develop the skills necessary to advance.

Jonathan has played racquetball for over 25 years and has five years experience as a teacher and coach of the sport. Call the Tennis Department to schedule your lesson time. Eye wear and white soled court shoes are mandatory for all lessons. Cost is just $25 per hour. Groups of three or more is just $15 per person, per hour.

Racquetball Challenge Court:

CGM will be hosting "Challenge Racquetball" in the 2 glass racquetball courts located next to the Cafe' from 6:00- 7:00 p.m. daily.

Racquetball Stringing:

Racquet and squash stringing is provided through the CGM Pro Shop. A variety of strings, grips and other accessories are available. A list of currently available options is posted on both the racquetball and squash boards. There is also a copy in the Pro Shop. Racquets are generally turned around within 48 hours.

We also have pickleball equipment, so if you want to try something new, the racquets and balls are at the front desk, and the net is in the gym. By the way if any parents are interested in joining in on the junior activities, feel free to jump on in. We can always use an extra player to participate with the children, they love it too!

We have a recreation program for anyone looking for adventure and not competition. Don't be shy, just come out and have some fun.

Racquetball courts may be reserved up to two days in advance by contacting the Club operator at 256-1510. Same day reservations may be made at the Front Desk.
